Conditions de participation –The Art Square

1.Type d’œuvres

• La participation se fait sur base de candidature : l’ASBL reste maître de la sélection des œuvres présentées.

• Sculptures monumentales adaptées à une exposition en extérieur, sans restriction sur les dimensions, ni sur l’année de production de l’œuvre.

• Les artistes peuvent proposer autant d’œuvres qu’ils le souhaitent, y compris des installations.

• Matériaux libres (acier, pierre, bois, bronze, etc.), sous réserve de leur solidité et de leur sécurité.

2.Transport et installation

• Le transport des œuvres jusqu’au square Armand Steurs (Bruxelles) est à charge de l’artiste.

• L’installation se fait en collaboration avec l’équipe technique de l’ASBL.

• Une grue est mise à disposition sur site lors du montage et du démontage de l’exposition.

3.Durée de l’exposition

• L’exposition a lieu chaque année en septembre à Bruxelles et peut se prolonger jusqu’au montage de l’édition suivante.

• Les œuvres doivent rester sur place pendant toute la durée de l’événement.

4.Frais et conditions financières

• Aucune cotisation n’est demandée aux artistes.

• L’ASBL ne prend aucune commission sur les ventes éventuelles.

• L’exposition est soutenue par des subsides publics.

5.Assurance

• Chaque artiste est responsable de l’assurance de ses œuvres pendant le transport.

• L’ASBL prend en charge une assurance « tous risques » sur les sculptures pour la durée officielle de l’exposition (mois de septembre).

 

• En cas de prolongation (jusqu’au montage de l’édition suivante), l’artiste peut :

  • soit souscrire à la prolongation de l’assurance de l’ASBL,

  • soit assurer lui-même ses œuvres,

  • soit les laisser à ses risques et périls.

• Le square Armand Steurs est sécurisé : gardiens de la paix présents durant les heures d’ouverture, grilles fermées la nuit. De plus, les œuvres ne sont pas accessibles directement au public, des haies séparant les zones d’exposition des zones de passage.

6.Promotion

• L’ASBL assure la communication et la promotion de l’exposition.

• Les artistes acceptent que leurs œuvres soient photographiées et diffusées dans le cadre de la promotion (site internet, presse, réseaux sociaux, etc.).

• Un catalogue reprenant les œuvres exposées sera édité, comprenant un texte (citation,

poème ou concept) et une biographie de chaque artiste. Ce catalogue est réalisé par Christina Moschou. Des informations complémentaires seront demandées aux artistes en juin 2026.

• Le vernissage est pris en charge par l’ASBL, avec musique live, drink et discours.

7.Dossier de candidature

Les artistes doivent envoyer, avant le 01/02/2026, leur candidature à l’adresse suivante : squaredelasculpture@gmail.com

Le dossier doit contenir :

• Des photos et descriptions des sculptures proposées (dimensions, matériaux, poids).

• Les besoins techniques éventuels pour l’installation.

• La valeur d’assurance (prix de référence).

Participation Conditions – TheArtSquare

1.Type of artworks

• Participation is based on an application: the ASBL retains the right to select the artworks to be exhibited.

• Monumental sculptures suitable for outdoor exhibition, with no restrictions on dimensions or year of production.

• Artists may submit as many works as they wish, including installations.

• Free choice of materials (steel, stone, wood, bronze, etc.), provided they are solid and safe.

2.Transport and installation

• Transport of the artworks to Armand Steurs Square (Brussels) is the responsibility of the artist.

• Installation is carried out in collaboration with the ASBL’s technical team.

• A crane will be available on site during installation and dismantling.

3.Duration of the exhibition

• The exhibition takes place every year in September in Brussels and may be extended until the installation of the following edition.

• The artworks must remain on site for the entire duration of the event.

4.Fees and financial conditions

• No membership fee is required from artists.

• The ASBL does not take any commission on potential sales.

• The exhibition is supported by public subsidies.

5.Insurance

• Each artist is responsible for insuring their artworks during transport.

• The ASBL covers an “all-risk” insurance for the sculptures during the official exhibition period (September).

• In case of extension (until the installation of the next edition), the artist can:

 

• either subscribe to the ASBL’s insurance extension,

• or insure the artworks personally,

• or leave them at their own risk.

• The Armand Steurs Square is secured: peacekeepers are present during opening hours, gates are locked at night. In addition, the artworks are not in direct contact with the public, as

hedges separate the exhibition areas from accessible areas.

6.Promotion

• The ASBL is responsible for communication and promotion of the exhibition.

• The artists agree that their artworks may be photographed and used for promotion (website, press, social media, etc.).

• A catalogue including the exhibited artworks, accompanied by a text (quote, poem, or concept) and a biography, will be produced by Christina Moschou. For this purpose, additional information will be requested from the artists in June 2026.

• The opening is organized by the ASBL, including live music, drinks, and speeches.

7.Application file

Artists must send their application, before February 1st, 2026, to the following email address: squaredelasculpture@gmail.com

The file should include:

• Photos and descriptions of the proposed sculptures (dimensions, materials, weight).

• Any technical requirements for installation.

• The insurance value (reference price).

Deelnamevoorwaarden – TheArtSquare

1.Type werken

• Deelname gebeurt op basis van een kandidatuur: de vzw behoudt zich het recht voor de werken te selecteren die zullen worden tentoongesteld.

• Monumentale sculpturen geschikt voor een buitententoonstelling, zonder beperkingen op afmetingen of productiejaar van het werk.

• Kunstenaars mogen zoveel werken indienen als ze willen, inclusief installaties.

• Vrije keuze van materialen (staal, steen, hout, brons, enz.), op voorwaarde dat ze stevig en veilig zijn.

2.Transport en installatie

• Het transport van de werken naar het Armand Steursplein (Brussel) is de verantwoordelijkheid van de kunstenaar.

• De installatie gebeurt in samenwerking met het technische team van de vzw.

• Een kraan is beschikbaar op de site tijdens de opbouw en de afbraak van de tentoonstelling.

3.Duur van de tentoonstelling

• De tentoonstelling vindt elk jaar in september plaats in Brussel en kan verlengd worden tot de opbouw van de volgende editie.

• De werken moeten gedurende de volledige looptijd van het evenement ter plaatse blijven.

4.Kosten en financiële voorwaarden

• Er wordt geen lidgeld gevraagd aan de kunstenaars.

• De vzw neemt geen commissie op eventuele verkopen.

• De tentoonstelling wordt ondersteund door overheidssubsidies.

5.Verzekering

• Elke kunstenaar is verantwoordelijk voor de verzekering van zijn werken tijdens het transport.

• De vzw dekt een “alle risico’s”-verzekering voor de sculpturen tijdens de officiële tentoonstellingsperiode (september).

 

• In geval van verlenging (tot de opbouw van de volgende editie) kan de kunstenaar:

  • ofwel intekenen op de verlenging van de verzekering via de vzw,

  • ofwel zelf zijn werken verzekeren,

  • ofwel ze op eigen risico laten staan.

• Het Armand Steursplein is beveiligd: er zijn gemeenschapswachten aanwezig tijdens de

openingsuren, en ’s nachts wordt het plein afgesloten met hekken. Bovendien zijn de werken niet rechtstreeks toegankelijk voor het publiek, aangezien hagen de tentoonstellingszones scheiden van de doorgangsruimtes.

6.Promotie

• De vzw staat in voor de communicatie en promotie van de tentoonstelling.

• De kunstenaars gaan ermee akkoord dat hun werken gefotografeerd en gebruikt worden voor promotie (website, pers, sociale media, enz.).

• Er wordt een catalogus uitgegeven met de tentoongestelde werken, vergezeld van een tekst (citaat, gedicht of concept) en een biografie. Deze catalogus wordt gerealiseerd door Christina Moschou. Hiervoor zullen in juni 2026 aanvullende gegevens bij de kunstenaars worden opgevraagd.

• De vernissage wordt door de vzw verzorgd, met live muziek, drank en toespraken.

7.Kandidaatsdossier

Kunstenaars moeten hun kandidatuur vóór 1 februari 2026 indienen op het volgende e-mailadres: squaredelasculpture@gmail.com

Het dossier moet bevatten:

• Foto’s en beschrijvingen van de voorgestelde sculpturen (afmetingen, materialen, gewicht).

• Eventuele technische vereisten voor de installatie.

• De verzekeringswaarde (referentieprijs).
